I didn't know the last one, thanks!
And I had a question! Do you draw everything in black/white and then add colors, or do you draw everything in colors from the start?

Helpful, thanks! Now I need to find a handy tool to pick these on (Photoshop seems ignorant about colours in general...)

Thank you for the helpful tutorial. I was confused when I don't know what is "warm/cold" color. Now I understand easily from your tutorial! :la:

I'm not too sure about the color of the rebound light i.e. shadow since I've seen from observation that, unless you have another light source of a different color opposed to the first, the shadow will actually retain the same color as the light itself, although greatly diminished and somewhat colder, thus merging better with the object itself. Other than that though I greatly enjoyed this tutorial.

The balls kinda do, but the girl... in some places it does, in others doesn't. But I guess it's up for the style, I for one wouldn't use different light color unless I really want to imply there is one.

I agree there too, seems to me there isn't enough colour harmony in the image. Too many different colours and different amounts of contras, but that might just be me

I think so too but, as you've said, it's just a matter of personal preference. I still like many parts from Nagare's style of art and the rest I don't like... well, I think as long as the artist likes it that's all that matters. And I do think she has the foundations pretty well put into place, what we see and maybe don't like it's just her personal take on those foundations.
